Michelle Ivey, Client Service Assistant and Receptionist

Michelle is responsible for general services administered at MAP.  When your life changes, Michelle will help make sure your account records are updated. She will contact you to remind you to schedule your update meetings, and she may also call you to clarify or request needed information or documents.

Dan Talmo, Planning Specialist

Dan T. is a whiz at conducting the many aspects of portfolio analysis and your investment allocation. He also manages our many planning tools and equipment and keeps them up-to-date and functioning. Dan is knowledgeable in technical facets of your financial plan and the various accounts it utilizes. He works to consistently integrate your analytical information and portfolio recommendations into your plan.   
 
Dan Heiar, Planning Coordinator
 
Dan H. gathers much of your historic information for integration into your financial plan. Dan also coordinates your money personality assessment results with your financial planning analytical reports and discussions. He also coordinates many of the data management tools used at MAP to keep your records accurate and maintained.
 
Carol Garroutte, Client Service Specialist

Carol has worked in financial and investment services for more than 30 years. At MAP, she is responsible for assisting with many types of services to ensure your plan is administered as needed.

Steven Zimmerman, CFP, ChFC, CLU, Co-Founder and Senior Financial Strategist

Steven D. Zimmerman, CFP, ChFC, CLU graduated from St. John's University, MN, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Natural Science in 1972 and has completeded numerous graduate level courses in several disciplines. Steve has attained the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation from the CFP Board of Standards in Denver, CO and the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA.

After college he taught and coached in secondary education, then co-founded an accounting service and software development company, and transitioned to financial consulting. Steve's work in financial advising totals more than 30 years. His extensive knowledge of business management, owner and employee benefit plans, tax issues, risk managment, portfolio theory and asset allocation, retirement and estate planning, and how these integrate in personal and business planning makes Steve a much sought-after advisor by business owners and other successful professionals. At MAP, Steve oversees business and personal financial planning and analyses, and is the senior consultant for financial strategies. Susan Zimmerman, ChFC, CLU, LMFT, Co-Founder and Financial Therapist

Susan has been Steve's business partner since the firm's inception in 1988.  She earned a Bachelor of Science with Distinction from the University of Minnesota in 1974 in Social Science, and attained the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA.  Her Master of Arts Degree in Counseling and Psychotherapy is from the Adler Graduate School of Psychology.  Prior to her career in counseling and money psychology, Susan was a social sciences teacher and project manager in corporate wellness development. 
 
As a Chartered Financial Consultant and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Susan facilitates money personality and relationship counseling with clients. She provides therapeutic guidance to help people adjust actions based on insightful awareness and improved communication styles.
 
As an author and expert on financial psychology and money personality, thousands have used her money personality assessment to manage different spending and investment styles. She is known as "the fiscal therapist" in her seminars on money personalities and financial principles.
